![]() Or, grab the python files and run them if you're so inclined. ![]() exe, click the releases section on the right side, below the about section. If your account hits a CAPTCHA this program won't work, I might eventually fix that.Īnyways, here's the github link. If you wait a day after creating an account, it'll stop asking you for CAPTCHA (at least that was my experience). UG seems to require an account to download GP files now, so I'd recommend creating an account if you don't have one, and seeing if it makes you fill out a CAPTCHA. You could also run into issues with CAPTCHA. I haven't extensively tested this, so I'm sure it's not going to work smoothly for everyone. I like to go through all the songs from an artist I like and then just keep the ones I enjoyed playing. Afterwards, you have all the files locally so accessing them is obviously convenient. It's not the fastest process, especially for an artist with a lot of songs available, but it does it faster than you could manually and you can run it in the background and keep doing what you're doing. You enter the artist name in the program, and it goes to UG and trawls through every tab from the artist, ignoring everything but the GP files and downloading them all into a folder for you. I coded this up for basically my specific use case, but hopefully it works for someone else. When you are solely looking for Guitar Pro files, they seem to make the process as tough as possible- decoy versions for their own subpar services, forcing you to scroll through the entire score of a song even if you have already clicked the link for the GP version. If you've used UG over the years you know how annoying it's come to be.
